Plant Tracer App

 

UX and UI design for an app that allows botany students to track plant movement and share the data within their respective communities. A collaboration between NYU Biology Department, CREATE Lab NYU and The N.S.F. (National Science Foundation).

Features Overview

Plants grow in a circular or horizontal and vertical fashion. Students upload time-lapse videos and use the tools to track and measure the rate, arc,  distance, angles and amplitude.

 

 
 

Tutorials / Experience

To cater to the broad range of technical ability from the target audience, ample assistance was supplied, through tutorials. Once the app receives more funding, the plan is to add a chat system

Editing Features

Editing features differ according to the type of arabadopsis plant being analyzed. Users begin the process by uploading their their videos, editing them using the easy-to-use tools, to receiving the data and the the last step is to sharing or storing the results.
